I was shocked to hear of the untimely death of Mrs Marion Myles. Mrs Myles was the headteacher at St Joseph's Primary School in the West End.
My daughter attended St Joseph's Primary School and I knew Mrs Myles over a number of years both as a parent and as a local councillor. This is very sad news for her family and for everyone associated with St Joseph's Primary School. I was always very impressed with her commitment to the school and to the broader local community. I think that she was very popular with the pupils and very well thought of by everyone she came into contact with. Above all Marion Myles was a very nice person.
At this very sad time my thoughts and prayers are with Marion Myles and her family and also with the school community at St Joseph's.
