Salaries and Expenses

Dundee City Council has published the salaries and expenses of all councillors for the financial year 2009/10. You can read these here, the other side of councillors receiving what is now referred to as a salary after the 2007 election was that there should be a greater emphasis on training you can read the council's report on councillor training here. I have attended most of the training which has been made available I do think however that there is a need for more rigour in ensuring that we have appropriate training and that it is not always a session where councillors sit passively and listen to a presentation.
